Degree Requirements

MAS (Leadership) students are required to complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of graduate-level coursework.  Students may focus their program of study with an emphasis towards data analytics in accounting, financial reporting and assurance, or taxation, or may work with their advisor to tailor a program to meet their specific academic and career goals. Phase I Business & Accountancy Courses

General business and foundational accountancy courses will be added to a student’s program of study unless he or she has earned a C or better in a corresponding undergraduate course or a B or better in an equivalent graduate course.

Phase I exemption exams may be used to waive any or all phase I courses. You may attempt an exemption exam only once for a given Phase One course.  See Dr. John Simon concerning details for exemption exams.

Leadership & Professional Development Workshops

In addition to coursework, MAS students must complete a series of workshops designed to enhance their communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
